Deardorff V8 8X10 Field camera w/ 300mm Schneider lens +holder REFURBISHED #4451

Pre 1952 Deardorff V8 though it does not have a serial number plate, this camera was upgraded at the Deadroff factory at some point, when it received a new style nylon fabric bellows along with the post 1952 front swing assembly. Completely serviced, all metal hardware has been removed and cleaned, all screws were polished,realigned and re-seated when needed. Hand strap has been replaced. The rest of the camera is original, with very nice patina and smooth action throughout. Factory nylon bellows is in excellent condition.

Camera Features:

• Lightweight folding design
• Front movements include tilt, swing, rise/fall and micro rise via the front sliding plate
• Rear movements include tilt and extended swing

• Back can easily be mounted in vertical or horizontal positions

Camera Condition:

• This camera is WELL used and in good working condition as to be expected from an ~80 year old camera
• All levers, knobs and locks are present and work as they should
• All tensions, friction and damping work as they should
• Bellows are TESTED - LIGHT TIGHT
• Original Deardorff gridded ground glass has some sections of the grid missing. Ask us about upgrading this to a modern ultra bright fresnel kit (add 275$)

• Clean glass
• Shutter fires nicely on all speeds
• Coated glass with no haze, scratches or fungus
• Covers 8X10 with extensive room for movements
• This is a convertible lens, the rear cell only may be used as a soft portrait lens as a 500mm F12 lens
