Leica M3 ELC (1962) 35mm SS Rangefinder Film Camera with Elmar 50mm F2.8 lens

Leica M3 DS Body:

• Leica M3 single stroke body appears to have been serviced recently, no documentation or paperwork available - no "L" seal present
• Exceedingly rare, this is an ELC camera (made by Ernest Leitz Canada, in Midland Ontario), and is one of tiny batch of 200 cameras made in this run and only a scant few thousand made in total by ELC (you can look up the serial number online to confirm this info)
• This is a USER camera, not a collector piece - if you are looking for that mint M3 - this is NOT it
• This camera is used, tested and working as it should
• All functions are tested and work as they should
• Shutter is in good working condition and fires nicely on all speeds with both curtains in good condition
• Cosmetically, this camera shows normal signs of use with some scrapes, dings, nicks brassing etc.
• Original skin is generally intact, though some corners are chipped on front and back, easily replaced by new owner or ask us about getting and installing a new skin for this camera (choose your color/finish style)
• Finder is clean and clear, thought when lookin in from the front of the camera, some marks are visible inside
• Rangefinder patch is sharp, bright and with good contrast
• Rangefinder is fully aligned and is spot on

Leitz Elmar 50mm F2.8:

• Lens glass is clean with no fungus, haze or scratches
• Focus and aperture move smoothly (though some oil is present on blades)
• Includes original metal Leica cap
