Tachihara light 8X10 Field camera with 300mm F5.6 MC lens + holder #0418

The Tachihara is a lightweight, compact camera, made from 400 year old, kiln dried Japanese cherry wood. Supremely finished in "Japonica" lacquer, a true testament to some of the best woodworking craftsmanship in the world. Along with one of the best Fresnel/Ground glass combos available, this superb camera is a pleasure to use in the studio as well as an ideal backpacking tool.

Paired with a modern, MC lens, this kit is ready to go, straight out of the box!

Camera Condition:

• This camera is lightly used and shows normal and minimal signs of handling
• All controls are working as they should with the exception of the rear swing locks which are a bit stiff
• All metal hardware is working as it should with all original finish intact
• Wood finish is intact all around and still has all original shiny finish
• Bellows are tested - light tight
• Original bright fresnel/ground glass combo glass is clean with no issues to note

Rodenstock Sironar N MC 300mm F5.6:

• 300mm is a normal angle of view on 8X10 (similar to a 50mm lens on 35mm format cameras)
• Modern, multi-coated glass
• Mounted on an original Tachihara lensboard
• Lens glass is clean and clear with no fungus, haze or scratches
• Modern black copal #3 shutter
• Shutter fires nicely on all speeds
