Carl Meyer 300mm F4.5 high speed 8X10 lens in Alphax #5 shutter (Kodak Ektar)

• Classic high speed "normal" angle of view for 8X10 cameras
• High density aperture makes for a near round pupil for a super smooth "bokeh"
(out of focus blur and transition) for that dreamy, old timey look, ideal for portraits
and landscapes alike
• Carl Mayer was the name used by Burke and James to sell re-branded lenses
under a "home brand"
• This re-branding included many different sources, this one appears to be a Kodak
Ektar 12" F4.5 lens (as per the Kodak SN marked inside the front and rear cells),
so to not compete with the Brand names, these lenses were re-marked and sold as
slightly different lenses, in this case, the lens was marked as F6.3, when in reality, this
is an F4.5 capable lens, as measured and marked by CatLABS
• Classic high speed "normal" angle of view for 8X10 cameras
• Shutter fires nicely on all speeds
• Cosmetically, this lens shows minimal signs of use
• Glass is clean, with no haze, scratches or fungus
• Includes mounting flange
