Exceedingly rare, made for a military contract in very small numbers, very few surviving cameras, even fewer that actually have a working focal plane shutter.

Super sophisticated camera, with a variance focal length rangefinder system, extensive geared movements on the front standard, built in folding viewing hood and so much more. Superb materials and build quality, not found on any contemporary or even current camera design.

This is a well used example, a real workhorse, not a collector piece, but is intact and complete with some minor cosmetic issues.

Camera Condition:

• Cosmetically, this camera shows normal signs of use and handling, please carefully inspect images to get a good idea of the cosmetic condition of this camera
• This camera is in fair shape considering its more than 80 years of age
• Camera focal plane shutter is in good working condition and fires nicely on all speeds
• All camera functions are tested and working as they should
• Bellows are tested, light tight
• Rangefinder is working as it should but infinity stops are not set - new owner will have to set those for optimal RF use
• All camera movements, knobs, gears, and latches are in good working condition with the exception of the latch for the folding bed - the camera is a bit fiddley to open and close, but works well once you get used to it - just needs a bit more care when opening or closing to get it closed/open
• Back is tight and works as it should
• Ground glass is sharp and clear
• Folding viewing hood is in good working condition
• Lens glass is clean with no haze, scratches or fungus, lens shutter fires nicely on all speeds
